The ski touring adventure with Alpine Guide on the Presanella peak organized by Mountain Friends is a two days trip to reach the summit: it is a challenging but very rewarding track that requires preparation, right equipment but, thanks to our experience, we can accomplish in complete safety. We will guide you on the summit of Presanella, the highest peak in Trentino (3556 m).
From the top the view can range to 360° from the nearest mountain group, the Adamello and the Brenta, to the farest, Ortler Cevedale, Bernina etc. Despite the demanding physical effort due to the difference in level from the starting point till the top, the mountaineering and technical difficulties are not excessive. This allows also those with an average ski touring level to undertake the trip, although preceeded by a good workout.
The track starts in Genova Valley and goes along the beautiful Nardis Valley, passing first by Malga Nardis (1471 m) and then coming out in the esplanade of Malga dei Fiori (2004 m) along the upper middle part of the ridge that descends from the glacier, almost 2,700 vertical meters.
For this reason you might prefer to have a two-day trip, stopping to stay in the friendly Bivouac Roberti, kept in good condition by SAT volunteers - Section Pinzolo-High Rendena. From the bivouac the track climbs up smoothly in the Valley where it becomes wider. From there, looking to the South it is possible to admire the typical alpine lakes of S. Giuliano and the villages of Giustino and Massimeno. At the base of Mont Blanc of Presanella (3000 m), finally the track enters the amphitheater dominated by the cross on the top of the summit.
