A classic ski touring route in the Brenta Dolomites at Madonna di Campiglio. Surrounded by Dolomite walls in a side valley sheltered from ski slopes.
This route features exciting passages through sparse woods and a series of broad slopes leading to the Bocca dei Tre Sassi, a fascinating area where good snow conditions can often be found. The slopes in this valley, in certain sections, require numerous switchbacks during the ascent but allow even less experienced skiers to descend, depending on snow conditions. Once at the top of the valley, at Bocchetta dei Tre Sassi, you can return along the ascent route or, for the more trained, descend the opposite slope through the Val delle Giare. Then, you can re-skin and climb the gentle slopes leading to the Passo del Grostè.
