At the time of booking, clients declare that they have read and accepted the following terms and conditions.
Description of Activities
The activities organized by Mountain Friends include all those conducted by Mountain Guides and Hiking Guides.
Unless otherwise specified in the activity details, all activities require the payment of a participation fee, which includes: the guiding/teaching service provided by a certified Mountain Guide/Hiking Guide and third-party liability insurance coverage.
Booking Activities
All excursions organized by Mountain Friends have a limited number of participants; some may also require a minimum number.
Booking is always mandatory to participate in any proposed activity.
It is not permitted to show up on the day of the event without having previously registered and paid the fee (unless the event specifies the option for “on-site payment”).
The time indicated for each activity is the meeting time, which includes check-in and preparation activities.
Punctuality ensures the smooth running of the planned activity. In case of delay, the organizers cannot guarantee participation.
Participants must be in good physical condition and health.
In the case of minors, parents or legal guardians accept full responsibility for the statements provided herein.
Bookings for multi-day activities, group events, and/or private activities require a deposit payment. If the deposit is not paid, the organizer reserves the right to consider the booking invalid.
Activity Confirmation
The confirmation (or possible cancellation) of the activity by the organization will always be communicated to the client.
Withdrawal by the Organization
If a minimum number of participants is required and not reached, the activity will be rescheduled in agreement with the client or refunded.
The Mountain Guide/Hiking Guide is solely responsible for assessing mountain conditions and may cancel or modify the outing in case of adverse weather/mountain conditions and/or safety concerns. In case of cancellation, the activity will be rescheduled in agreement with the client or refunded.
Withdrawal by the Client
The client may cancel the booking at any time by sending written notice to info@mountainfriends.it. In this case, Mountain Friends may propose an alternative date in agreement with the client. Otherwise:
For online bookings, the following cancellation fees apply:
- Cancellation up to 21 days before the activity: Mountain Friends retains 15% of the total amount.
- Cancellation from 20 to 11 days before: Mountain Friends retains 30% of the total amount.
- Cancellation from 10 to 6 days before: Mountain Friends retains the full deposit (50%).
- Cancellation within 5 days before the activity: Full payment of the booked activity will be required.
For activities not booked online (multi-day, group, and/or private activities), cancellation by the client will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
Any additional expenses agreed upon during booking and advanced by the organization must be reimbursed.
Equipment and Gear
The client is considered the custodian of any rented equipment for the duration of the rental agreement and assumes full responsibility in case of theft or loss.
In the event of theft, the client must immediately file a report with the appropriate authorities and provide a copy to the rental provider.
The client is fully responsible for reimbursing Mountain Friends for the value of any stolen or lost equipment. The reimbursement amount will be based on current market values.
In the case of partial damage due to negligence, improper use, poor handling, or vandalism, the client will bear the full cost of restoring the equipment to working condition.
Code of Conduct
The Mountain Guide/Hiking Guide reserves the right to refuse participation to individuals who have not booked or who are not appropriately dressed.
The Mountain Guide/Hiking Guide is solely responsible for the group’s management and safety.
Clients are required to strictly follow the guide’s instructions and not take independent initiatives related to the activity.
Clients must also behave respectfully toward nature and the environment.
Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising from the interpretation or application of this agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Trento.
