The pearl of the hike is the Malghette Lake, nestled between larch, fir and stone pine, in whose the surrounding mountains reflect.
The hike to Lake Malghette organised by Mountain Friends - Pinzolo Val Rendena team develops along a simple and suitable for all route that offers a unique and exceptional view on the massif of the Brenta Dolomites. The hike makes a loop that starts at Malga Zeledria (in Campo Carlo Magno), a pasture in the summer months. Crossing the alpine meadows the path enters into the vegetation characterised by larch forests, mountain pines and cembran, to arrive at Malghette Lake. The lake lies in a picturesque valley that stretches to the west and which is closed by a semicircle group of peaks, among which Zeledria, Nambino, Laste, Arctic, and Monte Vigo. To the east you can find a characteristic "window" to admire the north of the Brenta Dolomites (subgroup of Pietra Grande - Vagliana - Sasso Alto - Sassara). This peculiarity has made the place very well known among Trentino's tourists. The view of the sunset over the lake with the backdrop of the "burning" Brenta by the last sun rays is a sight not to be missed during your holidays in Madonna di Campiglio - Pinzolo.
