A long journey in the company of the Mountain Friends Mountain Guides along the aesthetic ridge line of Cima Pietra Grande and Cima Vagliana, which dominate the Grostè plateau in Trentino, in the Brenta Dolomites.
Ascending with the cable car towards Passo del Grostè, as the arrival station comes into view, one cannot help but notice the elegant profiles of Pietra Grande and Cima Vagliana. It's a true "Dolomite journey" just steps away from the cable car. From Rifugio Stoppani, take the trail leading to the Vidi Via Ferrata. Once the trail shifts to the west side of the mountain, continue straight, beginning the beautiful Cresta dell’Oreste. Upon reaching Pietra Grande, proceed towards Cima Vagliana with exhilarating exposed passages. Descend from there to join the Costanzi trail, which quickly leads to Rifugio Graffer and then to the mid-station of the cable car.
