The Mountain guide of Mountain Friends present you a great tour at the Lakes of San Giuliano a truly heaven and one of the most beautiful landscape in Trentino.

Between the two lakes, which have a height difference of just 4 meters to each other, the Refuge of S. Giuliano and a church-shrine in the lake nearby have been built. The church is dedicated to St Giuliano di Cilicia. The church was supposed to held the source of "good water for fevers" guarded by a hermit. The landscape here is just great and recalls the views of the north Canada with lakes, forests and glaciers. The blue of the lake contrasts with the dazzling white of the glaciers on the horizon. To the north lies the massive structure of the Presanella, while to the west you can see the glaciers with perennial snow of the Care Alto and Adamello massif. Great is also the view on the Genova Valley and on the upper Val Rendena with Carisolo and S. Antonio di Mavignola so as the spectacular clearing where stands Malga S. Giuliano. At a short distance from the lake you can be glimpsed through the trees the beautiful Lake of Garzone and the hut located the other lakeshore. On your way back you can follow the same path or make a loop by climbing to Bocchetta dell'Acqua Fredda (2184 m) and descending to the beautiful Lake Vacarsa and the clearing of Malga Campostril.
