Join the Mountain Friends Alpine Guides for an authentic ski mountaineering adventure in the stunning Val di Breguzzo, one of the wildest and most unspoiled valleys in the Giudicarie area. Discover the thrill of climbing under your own power, reaching majestic peaks, and enjoying spectacular descents in a pristine alpine environment.
The Val di Breguzzo is a true paradise for ski mountaineering enthusiasts. Nestled in the heart of the Giudicarie region, it is one of the most beautiful and unspoiled valleys in Trentino. Its unique morphology makes it ideal for this sport: an alpine environment that stretches down to the lower elevations, allowing skiers to climb on skins all the way to the peaks that encircle the valley in a vast natural amphitheater, culminating in the nearly 3,000-meter Cop di Breguzzo.
From the summits overlooking the Trivena and Arnò valleys, the view opens up in every direction — from the Bernina Range to the Adamello Group, and all the way to the Brenta Dolomites, whose majestic towers glow pink at sunset.
Day 1 – Starting from the valley floor, ascent towards Creper Vac or Cima Quadra. In the afternoon, ski down and return to Rifugio Trivena (1650 m), a cozy, family-run mountain hut nestled in the Trivena basin.
Day 2 – Beginning from a higher altitude, the goal is to reach the valley’s iconic summit: the Cop di Breguzzo, the highest and most panoramic peak in the area.
These two days are designed for experienced ski mountaineers who are confident skiing off-piste and managing moderate-slope descents independently.
