The meeting point is in the morning at the Hotel Ristorante Genzianella, just beyond Passo Campo Carlo Magno. Once the skis are on, the route heads into the forest along a gentle, scenic trail that, after about an hour of steady ascent, leads to Malga Vigo, near the ski slopes of Madonna di Campiglio.
After crossing the pistes, the itinerary continues into a quieter and more authentic environment. In a short time, you’ll reach the enchanting Lake Malghette, which in winter, completely frozen, offers a magical sight — a small alpine jewel set in a wild basin and surrounded by dense spruce forests.
Crossing the lake, the ascent continues toward Passo Tre Laghi. At a certain point, the route turns left and tackles a steeper section — the most technical part of the tour — which, with a few kick turns, leads to the top station of the Genziana chairlift within the Campiglio ski area. The descent begins along the piste for the first stretch, then continues on a gentle off-piste slope that brings you smoothly back to the starting point.
